Here we go again! Round 2 y'all! :D
I am so excited but just as nervous to dust off the cobwebs and put my green writing skills to the test. Feel free to join the prompt and strut your stuff in the comment section if you'd like!
Okie, let's get started.
What is descriptive writing?
"The primary purpose of descriptive writing is to describe a person, place, or thing in such a way that a picture is formed in the reader's mind. Capturing an event through descriptive writing involves paying close attention to the details by using all of your five senses."

What did you see?
What did you hear?
What did you touch?
What did you smell?
What did you taste?
Today's exercise: Describe a piece of art. The art piece I will be describing is located at the bottom of the page. Let’s see if my descriptive skills can paint this picture in your head!
Descriptive Story:
As I approached the last painting on the wall in tonight’s art gallery, the first thing that came to mind was how beautiful the world must look through this artists eyes. Swimming in colors of blues, greens, oranges, and yellows. I tilt my head to the side as I gaze at the center of the painting of two women sharing an umbrella closely with one another. I can tell they must be close friends as they walk arm in arm drifting further away from me into the sea of light and dark blues. I feel like I’m the observer in the painting. Almost as if I stopped mid stroll to turn around and take in the beautiful scenery around me. I’m standing on a brick path in the park. Trees and lamp posts are scattered on either side down the path. Accompanied by two park benches where one might read a book or feed the birds on a sunny day. The two women are almost to the second bench now. The trees providing another path of shade above, over the brick path down below. It’s leaves full of colors that shine like the speckled rainbow of light through stained glass windows. The lamp posts illuminating a hue of orange and yellow light as twilight nears. I feel like if I were alive in this painting I would have a raincoat and rain boots on; hearing the sound of splashing water as I walk on the wet bricks. I’m heading home as the day is coming to an end and I notice how the path seems to come alive with reflective colors from the passing rain. I release a sigh as I stare at the painting. Feeling all of the days stress float away on the brisk, cool, autumn wind, and I let the colors fill me with the hope of tomorrow.

Remember, it's not about perfection it's about fun. If we wait for perfection we might be waiting until the end of time, so just jump in and enjoy putting words to print. :D
